About the Federation
The memorandum on the establishment of the Federation of Russian and Arab Universities was signed on May 16, 2017, as part of a meeting between the President of the Russian Union of Rectors, the Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Academician V. A. Sadovnichy, and the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Professor Sultan Abuorabi.
Currently, the Federation includes 70 leading universities of the Russian Federation and the Arab world.

Forums of University Rectors
The Second Forum of the Federation of Rectors of Russian and Arab Universities
November 28, 2019 Moscow State University welcomed the Second Forum of the Federation of Rectors of Russian and Arab Universities, organized in close cooperation by the Russian Rectors' Union, the Association of Arab Universities and the Federation of Rectors of Russian and Arab Universities. The event was attended by the representatives of 46 Russian and 33 universities from 12 countries of the Arab world.
The First Federation Forum of Rectors of Russian and Arab Universities
On February 19, in Beirut (Lebanon), Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the President of the Russian Rectors' Union, academician V.A. Sadovnichy together with the Secretary General of the Arab Universities Association professor Sultan Abu-Orabi held the first Forum of the Federation of Russian and Arab University Presidents.
