On November 15, 2024, a delegation from the Republic of Iraq, led by Salah Hassan Abdullah, Director of the Administrative and Financial Department of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, paid an official visit to Gubkin University. The delegation also included representatives from various Iraqi agencies, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Russian Federation, and Rossotrudnichestvo. The main topic of the working meeting was the organization of advanced training programs for Iraqi executives in public administration.
Vice-Rector for International Affairs Alexander Maksimenko welcomed the participants, sharing the successful experience of training Iraqi students at Gubkin University and expressing his readiness to develop cooperation in areas relevant to the university's core business.
Vice-Rector for Continuing Professional Education Nikita Golunov presented advanced training programs in areas of interest to the Iraqi side.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to review proposals for advanced training programs for Iraqi civil servants in the near future. In turn, representatives of the Iraqi delegation expressed gratitude for the hospitality and noted the importance and prospects for further cooperation.
